Business of the year

Det’on Cho wins award from YK Chamber of Commerce

No company gets into business to win awards, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t welcome. In October, Det’on Cho was named business of the year by the Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce.

“There are a lot of great businesses in town, so I was a little surprised to hear our name announced as the winner, but I’m very proud,” says Roy Erasmus Jr., CEO. “This award comes from other businesses in the Yellowknife area, so it feels good to get that recognition from our peers.”

“Det’on Cho is bringing great exposure to Yellowknife, especially after being named one of the fastest-growing companies in the country,” says Jason McEvoy, president of the Yellowknife Chamber. “They have strong management and they really contribute to Yellowknife employment.”

“We wouldn’t be the success we are without our fantastic employees,” says Erasmus. “So I have to thank everyone who works for Det’on Cho and all of its companies. You’ve given us a great year, and I hope next year is even better.”
